Concierge Medicine Q & A

What is concierge medicine?

Concierge medicine is a healthcare delivery model with a flat annual, quarterly, or monthly fee. By paying this fee, you receive access to Dr. Pearlstein whenever you need it, regardless of the time or day of the week.

Concierge medicine gives you time to focus on your health and wellbeing. In a traditional fee-for-service (FFS) model, medical providers see as many patients as possible, with a focus on volume instead of quality.

Concierge medicine offers the opposite. It presents an opportunity to build a relationship with Dr. Pearlstein and her staff while improving your health.

What are the advantages of concierge medicine?

Dr. Pearlstein's concierge medicine program presents a variety of advantages, including:

  • Exclusive amenities for members
  • Extended office visits, regardless of medical necessity
  • 24/7 communication
  • Advanced telemedicine communications
  • Same-day or next-day appointments

When you enroll in Dr. Pearlstein's concierge medicine program, you also gain access to Castle Connolly Private Health Partners’ (CCPHP) innovative SENS Solution® Health Coaching Program. SENS focuses on four pillars of healthy living, including sleep, exercise, nutrition, and stress management.

Am I a good candidate for concierge medicine?

Anyone who wants to live a healthier and more active lifestyle can benefit from concierge medicine.

In addition to providing traditional medical services like annual check-ups, immunizations, and preventive screenings, concierge medicine provides regular guidance on eating healthy, exercising regularly, and preventing disease.

Additionally, if you injure yourself while playing sports, or wake up with a sore throat, concierge medicine provides quick access to Dr. Pearlstein. A brief telemedicine appointment can provide treatment guidance and set you down the road to recovery.

Is concierge medicine covered by insurance?

It depends. At your discretion, you can submit the Membership Fee to any flexible spending account, health reimbursement account, or medical savings account in which you participate, but the Membership program makes no representation that any part of the Membership Fee will qualify to be reimbursed from any such account. If you have questions about what your policy covers, reach out to your insurance company before scheduling an appointment with Dr. Pearlstein. Your insurer can address any questions or concerns.
